Hope you are all doing well.

It is a beautiful and warm day in Chicago. I am very excited to announce that I am opening a bakery in Hyde Park mid August. I will update you very soon with the opening date. We are preparing a great grand opening and I hope that you join us to celebrate this important moment in our lives.

Wedding Cake

Hello my friends,

Hope you are doing well.

I made a cake for a customer today that it was totally beautiful. It was a 3 tier chocolate cake filled with chocolate buttercream frosting and iced with vanilla buttercream. I decorated the cake with pipped rosettes and a sugar blue poppy flower. I am in love with this cake and I think it is a great suggestion for a small wedding cake.

Dessert Fest

Hello my friends,

Hope you are all well.

As I mentioned on my previous post, last Saturday I participated in the Chicago Dessert Fest. The event was fantastic! It was very well organized and the people that came over to taste the desserts were awesome. We had a great time.

 

We gave away 2000 samples and 2 3 tier cakes. 

We received great feedback from the participants. People were saying that the cakes were moist, well balanced and not overly sweet. They were saying that we had the best cake! We were so delighted to hear the comments, specially after all the hard work. We even received a prize for the "Most Craveable Dessert". My smile says it all :)!! I was very happy!!!

I would like to thank everyone that supported us, including our friends and family. I want to say a special thank you for my husband that has always been by my side supporting me, encouraging me and believing in my work. Thanks baby, you rock!!!

I am looking forward to seeing you all again at the Dessert Fest in 2016. Have a SWEET week.

Desert Fest

Hello,

I am really excited to announce that I am participating in the Chicago Desert Fest 2015. The event takes place on May 16th from 1pm to 6pm at John Barleycorn Moe's Cantina at 155  W. Kinzie St, Chicago, IL 60654.
The purpose of the event is to promote Chicago best deserts. Attendees will sample deserts from the finest bakeries and restaurants in Chicago.  We are expecting over 200 people to attend the event.

Cinnamon Donuts

Hello everyone,

Today is a very cold and rainy day in Chicago, which makes the perfect weather to make "bolinho de chuva". "Bolinho de chuva" is a cinnamon doughnut recipe that we make when it is raining. These tasty sweets are just the right treat to have with a cup of coffee on an afternoon rainy day.
